The Devil Went Down to Georgia
September 23, 2011
We all know the evidence, or lack thereof, at this point, but to us the most compelling narrative was at the moment of his death, with a poisonous cocktail already coursing through his veins, he used his last words to say, “I am innocent, I didn’t have a gun.” That is powerful testimony. Full disclosure, we don’t know if he did it or not, but neither does the Supreme Court, and if we insist on being the only modern democracy and “civilized nation” that still slaughters our own…let’s at least be certain we got it right. A portion of the proceeds from the t-shirt will be donated to The Innocence Project, a not-for-profit dedicated to proving the innocence of those falsely convicted and currently on death row.
