Happy Birthday President Obama…your gift? How about a 500+ point NYSE cliff dive sending international markets into a tailspin fueling fears of a double-dip global recession. Yesterday’s news led to a 35.4% spike in the CBOE Volatility, or FEAR, Index launching it to its highest level since 2007. (We almost sound like we know what we’re talking about.) Our professional advice: DON’T BE SCURRED! If we were some right of center neo-conservatives we’d tell you to load up on distilled water and semi-automatic weapons. But we’re not. Instead we’d recommend two pounds of high-grade marijuana, a fishing pole, and a library of good books…ahhh…now that is a recession survival kit.
